Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order or using our website. By accessing lafolieequestrian.com or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of our site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
1. About Us
La Folie Equestrian (Pty) Ltd is a South African registered business. We design equestrian apparel and accessories in South Africa, produced through a trusted local manufacturing partner, using premium performance fabrics. Our products are sold directly to customers through our website at lafolieequestrian.com.

2. Orders and Payment
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been accepted and payment confirmed.
Payment must be received in full before any order is processed or dispatched. We accept payment via the methods listed at checkout. Goods will not be dispatched until payment has cleared.
Pricing is displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and is inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time. The price you are charged is the price displayed at the time you place your order.
Order cancellations must be requested immediately by emailing hello@lafolieequestrian.com. If your order has already been dispatched, we are unable to cancel it and the returns process will apply instead.
3. Delivery
We aim to dispatch in-stock orders within 2–4 working days of payment confirmation. Custom or made-to-order items may take up to 2 weeks to produce before dispatch.
Delivery timeframes after dispatch depend on your location and the courier service used. While we do our best to ensure prompt delivery, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by courier services, customs, or events outside our control.
We will provide a tracking number where available once your order has been dispatched.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges in the destination country. These are the responsibility of the customer. Please check your local import regulations before ordering.
4. Returns and Exchanges
We want you to love your La Folie pieces. If something isn't right, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order at hello@lafolieequestrian.com and we will do our best to assist.
Exchanges are offered where stock is available and the item is returned in its original, unworn condition with tags attached. The cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrectly sent.
Faulty or incorrect items: If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us immediately with photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Items that cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
- Items returned more than 14 days after delivery
- Items without original tags
- Sale or discounted items (unless faulty)
Size exchanges: We strongly encourage you to consult our size guide before ordering. If you have any questions about sizing, please contact us before placing your order — we are happy to help. If an incorrect size has been ordered and the item is unworn with tags attached, we will do our best to accommodate an exchange subject to stock availability.
Please note: Print may fade over time due to incorrect washing. Silicone grip panels can be damaged by heat, ironing, or tumble drying. Please follow the care instructions included with your order. Damage resulting from incorrect care cannot be refunded.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including but not limited to text, photography, design, logos, product images, and brand assets — is the property of La Folie Equestrian (Pty) Ltd and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark law.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission. Unauthorised use of our brand, imagery, or designs may result in legal action.

By using our website, you agree to:

- Not transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content, including malware or viruses
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or systems

While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, we cannot guarantee that all content is error-free or completely up to date. Product colours may vary slightly from images displayed on screen due to differences in monitor settings.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, La Folie Equestrian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products. Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
9. Consumer Protection Act
As a South African business, we operate in full compliance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms and Conditions. If you believe your consumer rights have not been upheld, you have the right to contact the National Consumer Commission (NCC) at www.thencc.org.za.
10. Product Care
Please refer to the care instructions on each individual product page on our website for full guidance. As a general rule, and especially for baselayers and show shirts:
- Cold wash only — do not hot wash
- Keep whites and colours separate — if colours are hot washed, they may run, and this is not covered under our returns or exchange policy
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not iron silicone grip panels or any panels with silicone print or branding
- Do not expose to direct heat sources
Damage resulting from failure to follow care instructions cannot be returned or exchanged. If you have any questions about caring for your garments, please contact us at hello@lafolieequestrian.com before washing.
